Bike #47 - Christiana Gruendler

Her Story:


SGT Christiana Ball (Gruendler) was born in St Louis, Missouri, and grew up in Rising Fawn, Georgia. She and her eight siblings were raised and homeschooled by their loving and hardworking Mother. She joined the US Army in October 2007 as a Military Police (31B) Soldier and completed One Station Unit Training at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri. After training, she was assigned to the 463rd MP Company at Fort Leonard Wood and deployed with the 463rd to Camp Liberty, Baghdad Iraq, in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. After a 15-month deployment, the 463rd MP Co returned to Fort Wood where Christiana served another two years as a team leader and Patrol MP.


SGT Ball’s following assignments were with the 142nd MP Co, in USAG-Yongsan Korea, as a Squad Leader and Patrol Supervisor (May 2011-May 2012) and with Bravo Company, 787th MP Battalion, Fort leonard Wood, MO, as a Drill Sergeant (September 2012-May 2015).

SGT Ball separated from Active Duty in May 2015 and transitioned into the Missouri Army National Guard. She also transferred her MOS to become a vocalist (42R) for the 135th MOGUARD Band (May 2015 – May 2018).


After a three-year break in service, Christiana reentered the MO National Guard and transitioned from the Army Band into the Religious Affairs field and now serves as a Religious Affairs Specialist (56M) in the 138th Infantry Regiment.

In the civilian sector, SGT Ball has served primarily in Law Enforcement roles around her community and recently accepted a position with the Department of Interior.

SGT Ball still lives near Fort Leonard Wood with her fiancé, two dogs, two horses, and assorted chickens. She loves all things horses, loves playing and writing music, riding motorcycles, shooting, and doing anything outdoors.
